Topology and structural optimization
Optimization of a component / assembly group can be performed on the structure / surface as well as on the topography / topology. Topography optimization primarily creates stiffening elements within the part (such as beads).
Topology optimization finds the optimal material distribution within the design space satisfying various constraints and boundary conditions by using special algorithms. Project examples of structural / surface and topography / topological optimization performed for customers of MORPHOTEC are:
