Multi-Body Simulation (MBS) is a simulation technique, at which multi body systems are described by multiple deformable / undeformable bodies. Degree of freedoms of the bodies are defined by kinematic joints. The stiffness of the particular body are determined by preceding finite element simulations and are transferred to the mulit-body simulation to obtain high-quality results.
